Take a trip up the Northern California Coastline

I love the Northern Coast of California probably as much as the southern coast. While it's much colder and foggier, the scenic views are simply stunning. It's a place where ocean fog rolls in to blanket hushed redwood forests and whales spout offshore. It’s also a place where a new generation of farmers and winemakers focus on preserving the land as well as producing amazing food and wine. Its beautiful all year round to visit but if you like whale watching then plan to visit between December through April to witness the gray whales swimming south for the summer. There are so many little towns to visit like Mendocino, Fort Bragg, Caspar, and Elk so plan your stay accordingly.

Wine Tasting

Anderson Valley is best known for Pinot Noir wine. The wine tasting experience reminds me of Napa 15-20 years ago when you can chat with the wine makers and don't feel rushed.

  • Golden Eye - best wine tasting experience!

  • Toulouse

  • Navarro

  • Lula

  • Husch Vineyards

  • Roederer Estate

  • Pacific Star Winery - my favorite winery in Mendocino. We love to pack a picnic and enjoy the stunning views from this special place.
